The Press Conference of Sansui Awards declared that the moment to choose the best out of the lot of programs on television is near and that was what exactly seen at the Red Carpet where every stars of television seemed to be very excited whether nominated or not. The red carpet was held on 29th March, 2008 at Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai. The entire nominated one’s seemed to be pretty confident and hoped the best to win.All the stars from television looked forward for a wonderful evening while walking the red carpet.  Honoring the red carpet was Alok Nath, Dheeraj Kumar, Jitendra, Shivaji Satam, Narayani Shastri, Rakshanda Khan, and many many more. Rakhi Sawant was accompanied by boyfriend Abhishek Awasthi, Poonam Dhillon looked gorgeous as ever. This time Poonam is one of the jury member where she admired the serials and even watched this time those serials minutely. Sonali Bendre plays an equal and important part being a jury member and had a lot to say in honour of television.This time bollywood also played a vital role tin the success of this award as sizzling Dimple Kapadia made a public appearance and appreciated the success of television. On the other hand Bollywood beauty Diya Mirza and dashing Vivek Oberoi had a special performance. The evening of awards turned out to be full of excitement and enthusiasm where the nominees seemed to be nervous at a point of time. Ram Kapoor won the Best Actor (Male), while his own onscreen wife Prachi Desai won the Best Actress (Female) Award.

Sooraj Barjatya plans Vivaah in Diwali
The latest movie that is being planned for a Diwali 2006 release is Sooraj Barjatyas Vivaah, starring Shahid Kapur, Amrita Rao, Sameer Soni, Anupam Kher, Alok Nath and Seema Biswas.
