The hottest song "Jal Jal Ke Dhuan" (Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena) made Koena Mitra as one of the hot "n" happening surprises of the year. The actress and the film made controversy with Koena and Fardeens explicit scenes having been circulated through MMS. There are rare occasions when a second lead actress or an item girl is assigned the lead role in a big venture. Koena started with an item song "Sambhal Re" in Ram Gopal Vermas Road followed by another item song "Saaki Saaki" in Sanjay Dutts home production Musafir. Significantly, Koena refused item songs in films like Mangal Pandey, Parineeta and Kaal, evoking acrimony among some filmmakers towards her stand. But Koena is firm, and dreams of big acting career.
