The hottest song "Jal Jal Ke Dhuan" (Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena) made Koena Mitra as one of the hot "n" happening surprises of the year. She has been signed by Subhash Ghai for his forthcoming film Money Money Money, where she plays a singer who works hard to launch her private album. It is a frolicking comedy where everybody runs for quick and easy money. The film also stars Jackie Shroff, Celina Jaitley and Riya Sen in leading roles. Besides, Koena has also been approached by director E Niwas for his under-production Jalsa in which Ritesh Deshmukh plays her love interest. E Niwas My Name is Anthony Gonsalves starring her is on the verge of completion and will hit the marquee soon. Significantly, Koena refused item songs in films like Mangal Pandey, Parineeta and Kaal, evoking acrimony among some filmmakers towards her stand. But Koena is firm, and dreams of big acting career. She has the past examples to support her. Mumtaz and Aruna Irani graduated into top slot after playing second leads and item girls.
