Dev Anand releases music for new movie
The evergreen Dev Anand was in his element as he released the music of his forthcoming film Mr Prime Minister.The unusual plot of an earthquake survivor-turned-Prime Minister has some unusual aspects as well, not least of which is Dev Anand as a rapper! At the launch he also broke into his latest piece, and Anand, who is both the lyricist and singer for the film, had a lot of fun along with music director Bappi Lahiri.Dev Anands production house Navketan in its heyday had a reputation for being a succesful launchpad for fresh talent, including Zeenat Aman to Tina Munim.And although its been slow of late, its female leads Khursheed Khurody and Tara Sharma, are no doubt hoping that the magic will work once again.Mr Prime Minister releases early December, and will turn the tide for Navketan whcih hasnt seen a hit in over two decades.

‘Karzzz’ Starcast Announcement Party [Gallery]
Bhushan Kumars mega film Karzzzz was flagged off on 25th Jan 08 on the T-Series premises with a puja to introduce the entire star cast of the film.  Hosted by popular RJ and Anchor Siddharth Kannan, the event saw the presence of the original creator Subhash Ghai and the evergreen Rishi Kapoor himself, who shared their fond memories of the film and expressed their heartiest wishes to the present crew to make it an even bigger success. Also present to grace the occasion and seek the blessings of God and Subhash Ghai, were the cast and crew of the new film- Himesh Reshammiya, Debutante Shweta, Danny Denzongpa, Raj Babbar and Director Satish Kaushik, along with Mr. Bhushan Kumar, Mr. Krishan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Tanya Kumar and Tulsi Kumar from T-Series. The stars started off the event with a small Pooja thanking God and went ahead to grace the stage and share their thoughts on the film.   Subhash Ghai considered it a proud moment that when Bhushan Kumar and Himesh approached him for the remake of this film. He said Its a big compliment that they wish to bring the original film back to life. On the other hand, Rishi Kapoor who mesmerized everyone present said that he thoroughly enjoyed portraying Monty and he looks forward to the new Karzzzz.     Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, Karzzzz is a remake of Subhash Ghais 1980 film about reincarnation. Indra Kumars daughter Shweta will make her debut with Karzzzz and play the lead role of Tina Munim opposite Himesh Reshammiya who will don Rishi Kapoors role for the same. Urmila Matondkar could not be present due to sickness.Directed by Satish Kaushik, the film also stars Urmila Matondkar, Gulshan Grover, Danny Denzongpa , Rohini Hatangadi and Raj Babbar. Himesh Reshammiya also scores a hat trick by acting, singing and composing the music for the film!!!
